Introduction

Everything you need to know about the game Pyramids
Pyramid is a pretty basic card game. Your object is to clear off all the cards from the pyramid to win. You can now win 2 different types of trophies from Pyramids - one from the Hi-Score Table and the other type is given out at special times during the game. It costs 50 NP per play, so what are you waiting for!

NOTE: There is a daily limit of 5000 Neopoints, although you can continue to play for free throughout the rest of the day once you have reached that limit. Although you will not be rewarded any Neopoints for the free games, the score you receive will still be added to your High Score!!!

What it's about and how to play it

The object of Pyramids is to clear the pile of cards by placing the current card on a card that is one higher or one lower. So if you have a 5 you have to put it on a 4 or 6. If you cannot use a card you have to click the deck for another. When the deck runs out the game is over. If you clear the pyramind two times you get a trophy. It only costs 50 neopoints to play and you can usually win more than that. You can only win 5000 neopoints per day.

There is 7 rows. It goes down by one. Example, the first row has one, second row has two, and so on. You will notice how some cards are flipped over whilst others are still covered, why is this? You must clear the top ones for the ones underneath. You must play a card that is one card higher or lower than the draw deck. For 8, you can play a 7 or a 9. For a 3, you can play a 2 or 4 and so on. Close to the top, you will notice four sections located at the top. Here is what they each mean:
  • Consecutive Plays: How many cards you've layed down in a row without having to pick from the Draw Pile.
  • Game Points: How many points you have.
  • Cards In Pile: How many cards you have left.
  • High Score: Your personal high score.

You will notice there are not one, but TWO types of trophies. Why is this? Well, one is for the high score board winners (people who are highly addicted to pyramids) and one for players (who aren't so addicted) to win. You get these games when you have beaten a selective amount of games. To win the gold, I believe you have to win 2 or more games in a row.

Here is the grand list of things you should keep in mind when playing Pyramids to help you win! These are highly suggested to anyone who reads this guide. My mother, being a Pyramids addict, gave me a few tips on how to win this game.
  • Always look your cards over. You might have something to put down.
  • Place down the hardest to get rid of cards first. Instead of putting down your aces, try swinging for that nasty two instead!
  • If you can reveal more than one, do it. Go for the card that will reveal the most of the board.
  • Try and build up your cards. Play a 3, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4... something like that.
  • You'll want to see if you can do more than one card at a time. Like 5-4-5-6-7. Those will get you more points.
  • Also the higher the row will get you more points.
  • If you can choose more than one card, choose either the one on the higher row or the one that will reveal more cards.
