Introduction
A basic overview of the game
This Neopet game is a game of skill and timing. It is archery - ye olde favorite of Meridell. In ten shots, try to get a bullseye and become a bullseye master!
Controls
How to maneuver your character and play the game
You will be using your keyboard in this game.
Aiming: Use the "Up" and "Down" arrow keys to adjust the angle of your shot.
Shooting: Hold the "spacebar" down and release at desired power.
Resetting Shot: To reset your shot, press the "spacebar."
Playing the Game
How to play the game
Using Turtum, angle your crossbow, aim, and shot the arrow onto the dartboard. You get 10 shots to earn points. There are four rings and one bullseye. The bullseye is worth 10 points if you hit it. The four rings are worth 1,2,3, and 5. You get more points if you get your arrow closer to the bullseye. You can also get zero points for missing the dartboard. There are also bonuses to help get a better score. To learn more on the bonuses, read below.
Power-Up and Bonuses
The power-ups in the game
- (P) Punchbag Bob - Your dartboard will be replaced with Punchbag Bob with an apple on his head. If you hit the apple, you will get 20 points along with a power-up.
- (C) Close Target - The dartboard will be closer for an easier shot.
- (F) Fire Ring - This power-up will bring a ring of fire. Shoot your arrow through this ring and it will double the amount of points you get.
- (B) Bouncing Bullseye - The bullseye mark will increase in size for an easier hit. But the bullseye will repeat go back to normal size then larger.
Tips and Hints
Tips to better your game
- You can combine 2 more power-ups to get more points. For example, use Fire Ring and Punchbag and bullseye, you will get 40 pts!
- It is best to use your power-ups before and/or on your last shot.
- If you get a bullseye on your last shot, you will get an additional shot.
- Take your time when you are aiming. Do not rush through it. Line your arrow up with the bullseye.
- Practice, practice, and practice some more! No one will get a high score the first try! Do test runs, without sending score, and figure out how much power to use, etc.
- Type 'catapult' for an extra power-up.
