Introduction
A basic overview of the game
Armada is a pretty simple game to play, but it can be complicated when learning how to play. To win the trophy, you have to participate in a monthly contest and play 4 games. If you beat all four games, you can win a gold trophy. 3 games for silver, and 2 games for bronze. Your objective is to cover as much of the board as you can with your ships. You don't need to cover the entire board, but when all the moves are taken they view who had the highest score and give the win to the person with the most points.
Jump and Duplicate
Two spaces or one, matey?
To move, highlight the ship you wish to move and select the area you want to move the ship to. Two spaces (or a "jump") will move the ship to the new square, and one space move will duplicate the ship into that space. What this means is you click it one space to the left, it'll duplicate it. Move it two spaces to the left, and it will jump two spaces away. You can move in any direction, as long as the spot is open and it is not too far from your ships. You have to invade your opponent's space while adding to yours. It also has a bit of Kacheekers (checkers) built into it. You can jump over other ships to covert their ships to yours.
Invading
To invade or not to invade?
To invade or not to invade is what is on everyone's mind when playing Armada. By invading, you often leave yourself open and vulnerable to a player. Duplicate your players and build up as many ships as you can and makes sure no open spaces are available for your enemy to jump into. Try to invade your enemies spaces on stops that they cannot retaliate at.
