A welcome message to the guide

Whether it's studying ancient ruins or searching for hidden treasure, there's no challenge too great for Jake, Neopia's greatest explorer! Journey through deserted beaches, wild jungles, and fiery volcanoes, collecting gold coins, precious gems, and Mystery Island fruit on a quest to find a rare golden idol. But beware of the many traps and obstacles in your path!

Game Basics

Introduction to the game and how to play

This game is a TIMED game. Each level has a different timer, and you must grab the fruit before the timer runs out. If you're ever played Tom and Jerry for handheld Sega, it has a lot of the same things. You run through climb through things, jump over obstacles, and race against time to snatch the mouse, or in this case, a fruit.

Use the left and right arrow keys to walk, and the spacebar to jump. Use the up and down arrow keys to climb and descend vines and ladders. Collect the Mystery Island fruit in each level to complete the level, but watch out for deadly traps like falling rocks and dart blowing statues! Find the golden idol in the last level to beat the game!

Unlocking Levels

What it means to unlock a level

For a level, it may say you need it to be "Unlocked". What this mean is you have to repeat level again in order to receive a better trophy, rather than the one you received (when you complete the game, it states what trophy you received). Click the arrow to go back to the first level and replay the level.

Level Walkthrough

Get from level one to level two to level three

To be able to get a good enough trophy to advance to the next level, you need to collect all the extra bonus points and collect the fruit as fast as possible. In each level we're described exactly what to collect, where to go, and how to get the fruit.

Fruit To Collect	Walkthrough Information
	Level One: Climb the first ladder up to the vine and jump across to the middle platform (press your right button a bunch of times to move from the vine to the platform). Then jump onto the middle rope (press Up on your keypad to hold onto the vine). Use the right arrow key again (click it a couple of times) to move over to the last vine, then hit Down to move down to get the fruit!
	Level Two: This level is a bit more tricky than the first. Jump to catch the first vine and climb up to the top. Jump onto the flatform and collect the gold statue, then jump back onto the vine. Avoid getting the coins. They're not worth that much and it takes a lot of time just to get those two coins. Climb up the vine and jump onto the platform with the bunch of spikes. Avoid them and collect the gold at the left, then move back to the right and down the latter. Beware of the spikes near the bottom!

Obstacles and Traps

Beware of lava, water, and other things!

Like most games, there are some obstacles you need to avoid when trying to snatch up the fruit. One of the first things you'll notice is falling rocks and water. There are also lava, spikes, and dart-shooting tiki statues!

Collect these to earn extra points

To be able to advance in most levels, you have to collect a majority (or sometimes all) of these bonus points. These different objects are a different amount of points, so be sure to go for the

Tips

Some things to keep in mind when playing the game

Hit the arrow keys in the desired direction to jump off a vine or to move to another vine.
When moving across vines, hit the arrow keys as much and as fast as possible, you'll move quicker that way.
Avoid the obstacles.
When collecting the bonus points, collect the ones with the most amount of value and leave the other ones behind (you need a good score on your clock).
When you start up the level, quickly scan over and look for the fastest route possible.
