Basic information on the game and how to play
It's just like normal poker. You have to have the most chips at the end of the round to win neopoints and advance to the next round. You start out with 1000 chips. At the beginning of each hand you automatically give 10 to the pot. Then you can check(bet nothing), call(bet the same as the person before you, raise(raise the bet of the person before you by 10), or fold(give up for that hand). You have five cards that make up your poker hand. You have to have the best poker hand to win the chips in the pot. The hands(best to worst) in poker go as following.
  1. Straight Flush-Five cards in sequence in the same suit. Example: K-Q-J-10-9 (in the same suit)
  2. Four of a Kind-Four cars of the same number. Example: 10-10-10-10 (four tens)
  3. Full House-Three of a kind and a pair. Example: K-K-K-Q-Q
  4. Flush-A hand of any five cards where all five cards are of the same suit. Example: 8-10-3-6-7 (in the same suit)
  5. Straight-A hand of any five cards in sequence, but not of the same suit. Example: K-Q-J-10-9 (in different suits)
  6. Three of a Kind-Three cards of the same rank. Example: 9-9-9-5-2
  7. Two Pair-Two separate combinations of two cards of the same rank. Example: 10-10-Q-Q-4
  8. One Pair-Any two cards of the same rank. Example: J-J-8-5-2
  9. High card-A hand with no matched cards. Example: K-7-4-3-8

  • Watch the other players' faces. They can acually tell you what they have. They will change every so often.
  • Know what you are doing. You don't want to keep betting when you only have a one pair of 2's. Just use your common sense.
