Now for what you came for!
Direct Linking is when people use your images on their site/page instead of saving the image. When people direct link, it causes major bandwidth. Now you can block people from direct linking (meaning your images stay on YOUR page).

1. Create a new file under your main directory called .htacess. If your site does not support .htacess files, this will not work.

2. Paste the following. Change YOURURL.COM to your URL. You do NOT have to add http://www. because it is already included in the code.

3. Save the file. Now you're done! Sometimes you may need to open Notepad, paste the code, save it at htacess.txt, then after you've uploaded it, rename it to .htacess.
