Tutorial

Now for what you came for!
1. Paste the image you want to use. For this tutorial, I used a picture of a Pteri (you can get this image from Neopets Backgrounds in Stuff OR click here).

2. Go to Layers > New Layer and make a new layer.

3. Select your gradient tool and make a nice colour gradient by using a couple of soft colours from the image. Drag the gradient from one corner to the other, so your image looks like this:

4. Go to your layers pallete and make sure you have the gradient layer selected. Change "Normal" to "Colour".
