Now for what you came for!
1. First you need to open up your image. It must be an image without a background, or this tutorial will NOT work. Press Ctrl and click on the image to select it.

2. Then go to select--->Modify--->Expand. When the pop-up pops up, you need to select 6 pixels and click on ok. You will then get this result.

3. Now Click Ctrl C to copy the image. Now create a new layer, and paste it (Ctrl V) into the new layer.
