 Marquee: This is where you can select your image to copy, delete, etc. Can be square and circle. Used for blending as well.
 Healing Brush: Can help to repair a picture and make it look good. Used in editing photos and such.
 Path Selection: I have never used this tool, so I am not sure what it is used for.
 Notes Tool: This tool is used to write "notes" on selections of your images.
 Colours: The top is your "foreground" colour, and the bottom is your "background" colour.

Move Tool: Move your image with this icon. You can move it all over the place or to whever you want.
Lasso Tool: Used to cut things out and select. Like marquee but more freehand.
Magic Wand: Used for selection in a specific area. Like Marquee Tool.
Crop: If your image is too big, you can crop it to desired size (usually used after image is finished).
Slice Tool: You can use this to slice up your image into sections.
Brush: Use different brushes to make your design look fabulous. You can download various brushes from several different sites.
Clone Stamp: Used to clone images. Can be used as a method of blending.
History Brush:This is a very complicated brush, but it is used for putting images inside a brush.
Eraser: Erase parts of your image. Made a mistake? Need to erase an image on a different layer?
Paint Bucket: Used to flood your image with a colour or pattern. Used frequently from different designers.
Blur Tool: Used to blur images. Can be used in photo editing to make them look better.
Dodge Tool: Blends a brush into your image and can change the opacity.
Text: If you want to paste text onto your image, use this tool. Very used by many.
Pen Tool: Used to create lines, boxes, etc. Used by many designers.
Line Tool: Pretty much the same as Pen tool. It creates lines and such.
Eyedropper: Used to find an exact colour. Will appear on "foreground" colour.
Hand Tool: Used to move images around and used for positioning.
Zoom Tool: Can we used to zoom in on your image. You can always used "review" and your mouse to zoom in.
Image Ready: If you click on this, you will switch over to the program "Image Ready".
